The Remote Request Tool allows you to make requests into Swift Elite using a remote machine. A Paperless remote system making the KJ fully digital.
Below are instructions on how to configure and use the Remote Request Tool.
The remote request tool can be configured as follows:
Prepare your database in Swift Elite with all songs.
Configure a laptop or another machine using a network (for testing you can use the same machine).
the machine must run Windows 2000 or XP
you can use a router (wired)
or wireless connection
or peer-to-peer cable
Copy the RemoteTool.exe (Client tool program) and Collections.mdb (Swift Elite database) onto the remote machine.
Run the RemoteTool program, In Swift Elite run the Request Server in Preferences/Startup (do not close this window)
Click Search on the client tool - if the server is not found by the search refer back to the Server or hte IP Address and enter it before clicking search again.
Once found and connected, the options screen appears - pick your Playlist (A or B), the formats to appear, and minimize.
How to request using the remote tool:
Enter keywords (can be whole or partial keywords)
Press F2 and select song (up/down arrows)
Press F3 or press Enter and type Singer Name, click Up/Down to change key (singer pitch)
Press Enter to make request
